  • EzCompliments offers Indian cooking classes where small groups of 6 to 10 participants cook together, guided live by an expert instructor. You can join an online group where you cook in your own kitchen: Or join an in-person class.

    — it's a real, hands-on experience, not a passive demo. Classes are intimate by design so every participant can get personal attention and ask questions throughout.

  • EZcompliments gift cards make a wonderful gift. Everyone that has received these Gift cards have enjoyed the classes and have, in turn come back for more classes with the gift giver.

    An individual gift card is good for friends. Most families prefer to buy cooking party (private party) so that everyone can enjoy and learn at the same time.

  • Both On-line and in-person classes have their advantages - Here’s my suggestion, based on 18 years of in-person classes and 8 years of online:

    • Come visit me for an in-person class, if you are in driving area or if I can come to you (In the greater Boston area)

    • In-Person class is good for socializing - with strangers or bring a group of friends.

    • In-person classes are hands on - everyone gets to participate.

    • Online is great for cooking at your own home with your family around you.

    • In Online: Instructor will cook along with you and you will see the process with 2 cameras. Your cooking is also seen by the instructor for guidance throughout the process.

    • Many of our online participants continue month after month to gain expertise in cooking. The cost is lower than going out to a restaurant and the food is healthy!

    Themes vary by session, so you can take multiple classes and build a full repertoire of authentic Indian cooking skills over time.

    The menu is listed on the website. For private cooking classes and events, we will work with you to tailor the menu to your guest’s preferences.

  • Many EzCompliments recipes are naturally friendly to different kinds of diets - These can be adapted for vegan or gluten-free diets. When booking, note any restrictions or allergies.

    Private class bookings can be fully tailored around specific dietary requirements so everyone at the table is included.

  • Every class is fully hands-on. You chop, spice, sauté, and plate alongside the instructor in real time — from your own kitchen.

  • Classes have a maximum of 10 participants. Keeping the group small is intentional — it means the instructor can see what each person is doing, give real feedback, and answer questions without anyone getting lost in the crowd.

    Personal attention to each participant helps keep the class together even if the participants are of mixed skill levels

  • Online Classes typically run 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the recipes covered. This includes a brief introduction, the full guided cooking session, and time at the end for questions & tips.

    In-person classes are longer 3-4 hours as these include 4 dishes, and time for a sit-down dinner and to socialize after the class.

  • Item descriptionNo experience is needed. Classes are welcoming to complete beginners and experienced home cooks alike.

    The instructor explains every spice, technique, and step — so even if you've never cooked Indian food before, you'll finish class knowing exactly what you made and why.

  • Absolutely. Private EzCompliments sessions are available for corporate team-building events, birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties, family gatherings, and more.

    Private classes are fully customizable — choose your menu, your date, and let us know any dietary preferences.

  • Online classes are held via video conferencing.

    After you register, you'll receive a secure link to join on the day. Any device with a camera and microphone works — laptop, tablet, or phone.

    Position your device so the instructor can see your cooking area and give you feedback in real time.

    You will also see the instructor cook along with you on two screens: One of the cooktop and one of the instructor: So, it is very visual.

  • Ezcompliments will provide all equipment, utensils, grocery for the in-person classes held at EZcompliments location.

    For online class:

    Before each class, you'll receive a complete ingredient list and equipment checklist so you can prepare in advance.

    Prior to the class, Chef Shilpi will send you the Indian Spices that are not available in local grocary stores. You will buy the grocery available at a regular grocery store. No special cookware is required — a standard stovetop, a few pots and pans, and basic kitchen tools are all you need.

    In Private Class at your location:

    We will bring all ingredients. Prior to the class we review your kitchen and appliances and determine what we bring. In most cases, if the cooktop is on a side, we bring our own induction cooktops, so participants can work and observe easily.
